Who makes these bags?

I do! I have help from my mom who cuts the leather and carefully ships each order. Everything from ordering the leather, to assembling and sewing your bag, every step of the process is done right here in my home while I find time between the moments of my biggest priority-raising my three boys.

What kind of leather do you use for your bags?

We use premium, full grain leather which is the best quality available. Full grain leather has not been sanded or buffed to remove any imperfections (or naturally occurring markings) so you may see some of these "beauty marks" on your piece. If you prefer to have a spotless cut, please notify us at the time of your order and we'll do our best to accomodate your request. 

I love those silhouette bags, but can't find them on your site. Are they available?

I love them too! These very special bags are a collaboration between Stephanie, from Little Mugshots and Rooted Leather and are only available twice a year. The sales happen from her site so if you're not already subscribed to her newsletter sign up here so you can hear about the specifics of these sales.

Will I receive my extra fabric back after my bag is made?

Yes! We'll ship back your extra fabric with your finished bag

**unless there isn't enough usable fabric to return or our customer requests otherwise. 

How many individual items are you able to include for my lining?

As many as you want! The price includes up to 2 items, and there is a discretionary surcharge for more items to use for the liner as this takes more time. Email us if you need to ask more specific questions regarding this. 

How long will it take to receive my order?

Aside from the holiday season and Mother's Day, we strive to ship within 4 weeks of receiving your fabric. If you have a special occasion or are ordering a Rooted Leather bag as a gift, please make mention of your timeline when checking out and we'll do our best to accommodate you. 

I’m having a hard time trying to decide on leather color. Is there any way to receive a sample so I can best pair it with my fabric?

Yes! We’re happy to send a small swatch of colors after your order is placed and before you send your fabric to Rooted Leather.
